Enjoyed the interview Brent and Chris.

While CMS may not be a trend as it has been around for a long time, open source is increasingly being used and Joomla is certainly a leading platform there. Part of its power comes from extensions that can be plugged in for added functionality.

If you are going the open source Joomla route and as CRM systems have been mentioned, there are free systems available there too that will probably work if you do not want to get the price tag and a different operating environment from Microsoft. Proabbly the most well known open source platform here is Sugar CRM.

Brent, Great question about sites currently using this technology.

Large -- http://www.totousa.com
Medium -- http://www.yellowandbluelighting.com
Small -- http://www.thorntoninvestmentadvisors.com

All of these companies are using DotNetNuke and after the initial setup have been manging the site content themselves. I dont have any joomla examples so I am happy Russell had one!

Thanks,
Chris

That looks good Russell - so this is an example of a site that a normal internet Joe can update and manage?
